Admission for M.Com. Part – I for the session 2010 – 11
Application forms for admission to M.Com. Course for the session 2010 – 11 will be available for online submission at www.goenkacollegeadmissions.com from 19.07.2010 to 31.07.2010.
Eligibility criteria for submission of online applications are as follows :
For General & Reserved Category : Minimum 40% marks in Honours Group in B.Com. (Hons.) for the students of University of Calcutta and 55% marks in Honours Group in B.Com. (Hons.) for the students of Other University.
Note : 10% of the seats will be reserved for the candidates of other universities provided adequate number of candidates are there.
Candidates who passed B.Com. (Hons. in Accounting & Finance) in 2008 / 2009 / 2010 are eligible to apply.
Reservation of seats will be as per the rules of the Government of West Bengal (SC-22%, ST- 6%, PC- 3%).
Students applying online must take the print-out of the auto-generated challan and submit the online application fee of Rs.100/- to the college office on all working days within 12.00 Noon to 3.00 P.M. during the period 20.07.2010 – 02.08.2010.
The tentative dates of publication of merit list and admission will be notified later on in admission website.

Admission NOTICE
No. 128 Date: 27.05.2010
Applications are invited for admission to First Year B.Com. (Honours) Course in Accounting and Finance under the University of Calcutta for the academic session 2010 – 2011.
Eligibility Criteria:
1. Regular candidates passed Higher Secondary or equivalent examination in 2010 with at least five subjects of 100 marks each including English and any one of the following related subjects, viz.,
Accountancy, Business Economics including Business Mathematics, Business Organisation, Mathematics, Business Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Business Studies, Office Practice and Secretarial, Financial Accounting, Elements of Cost Accountancy and Auditing, Book Keeping, Commerce, Cost Accountancy and Principle of Management.

2. Secured the minimum marks as indicated below:
(i) For General category and Physically Challenged category candidates: 65% in aggregate and 60% in the related subject.
(ii)For SC/ST candidates of West Bengal only: 50% in aggregate and 45% in the related subject.
Clarification to Point No. 2
Aggregate Percentage of marks is to be calculated by considering the best marks obtained in the four
subjects excluding the compulsory Environmental Education / Studies.
Selection Procedure:
Selection of candidates will be made strictly on the basis of merit. List of selected candidates will be displayed in our admission website separately for the Morning Section and the Day Section. Candidates are advised to mention their first choice either for Morning or Day section. However, they are also free to exercise their second choice for a particular section, if any.
Issue and Submission of Forms:
The Application Form will only be available online. Candidates are advised to fill up the application form electronically (online). In no case, filled up forms will be received by the office of the College. For downloading and electronic submission of the Application Form log on the Admission Website of the College www.goenkacollegeadmissions.com. Candidates will have to deposit the online application fee (non-refundable) of Rs. 65 (including Bank Charges of Rs.15) to the Bank Account No. 910020016424595 of selected AXIS BANK Branches (list given in our admission website).
Seats available:
Seats will be allocated among the candidates of WBCHSE and Other Board/Council on the basis of the ratio of valid applications received by the College. Total number of seats available for admission to First Year B.Com. Hons Course is as follows:

The admission process for B.Com. Hons. Course for the academic session 2010 – 11 will be strictly online. Students intending to apply for B.Com. Hons. Course are to log on our admission website i.e. www.goenkacollegeadmissions.com and to apply online following the instructions available therein. The application process will be on after the publication of the result of the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education. All notifications relating to online admission will be available in our admission website.
No admission form will be issued from the college office / available online for download purpose.
