The Principal,SurendranathCollege, Kolkata-9 invites Sealed Quotations from the authorized firms of repute for supply of various hardware and software as given in Schedule A.
2. The Bid should be made in Two-bid pattern i.e., Techno-commercial Bid and Price Bid in separate envelopes. Both the envelopes should be superscribed with Tender Enquiry details and marked clearly as “Techno-commercial Bid” and “Price Bid”. The envelopes should then be sealed inside a single envelope that should be duly superscribed with Tender Enquiry details. The mandatory technical requirements to qualify for price bidding are given in Annexure-B which must be mentioned with documentary proof in the technical bid.
3. The Price Bid will be opened for only those tenderers whose Techno-commercial Bid will be accepted. For enlistment, verification may take place wherever necessary based on the techno-commercial Bid. The college authority reserves the right to cancel the Tender/Invitation any stage / time without assigning any reason and without any obligation on the part of this organisation and is not bound to accept the lowest Tender. The decision of the competent committee to accept or reject any or all the Bids, will be final.
4. If the firm is in a position to quote for supply in accordance with the requirements stated, then it must also furnish with the tender all the information necessary in the tender document, failing which the tender will be liable to be ignored and not considered.
5. The Last Date for the receipt of the Bid is 18 February, 2012 upto 12 noon. Tenders will be opened on the same day at 1 pm. The firm may participate in the tender opening. Tenderers should note that if the date of tender opening is cancelled owing to any emergent official business, the tender shall be opened on the next working date, if not otherwise mentioned in the notice board of the office. The tender should be dropped in the Tender Box in the front of the Principal’s office during 11-4 pm.
6. In the event of the tender is accepted, the selected firm has to accept the clause of Performance Guarantee, as applicable, in the format to be provided by the college as a pre-condition for obtaining work orders, wherever applicable.
7. The Earnest Money of Rs. 10,000/- should be submitted along with the technical bid in form of Demand Draft in the name of The Principal, Surendranath College, Kolkata will be applicable for tendering.

- The firm should submit documentary evidence of registration, IT clearance and ST clearance and authorized re-seller/ distributor certificate of HP/Dell/HCL.
- The firm should be capable of providing maintenance support during and after the warranty period. Therefore, they must submit the list of staff providing maintenance support.
- The firm should have capability and experience in executing one single order of Rs. 20 lakhs, at least in the year 2010-2011 or 2011-2012. Documentary evidences must be given in the technical bid.
- The AMC charges, comprehensive and non-comprehensive both, should be indicated in the Price-Bid for all hardware. This will be also a determining factor in calculating price bid.
- The firm must be capable of supplying and installing the above hardware including networking and software within 15 days’ of the receipt of the order for which an undertaking must be attached in the technical bid.
